original and completely intact c. 1920's vintage american industrial adjustable height stationary floor lamp fabricated by the adjustable fixture co., founded in 1911 by william l. schumaker. the task lamp consists of a flexible gooseneck arm attached to a tubular brass extension pole that moves freely within a larger sleeve, supported by a weighted cast iron base. manufacturer markings are lightly embossed on the underside of the iron weight. the push-button bryant socket was likely rewired in the 1940's. the brass-plated rolled rim parabola-shaped reflector is original to the lamp. when fully extended, the floor lamp measures 80 inches. nicely aged surface patina mostly intact.
