single original american "roaring twenties" ornamental cast iron interior atmospheric theater seat end designed and fabricated by the heywood-wakefield furniture company, menominee, mi. the brightly colored single-sided seat end was salvaged from a chicago theater (purportedly from the marbro theater) prior to demolition in 1964. remarkably, the original polychrome enameled finish remains in great overall condition. the solid birch wood hand or armrest is in good shape with dark varnished finish intact. the spanish baroque style seat end contains a detachable perforated grille originally housing a light bulb used to illuminate the aisles.
