late 1920's american industrial fully adjustable faries floor lamp with original "normandy bronze" plated finish largely intact. the telescoping floor lamp was fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the concealed round weighted cast iron base contains lightly incised manufacturer markings. the overlapping tubular overlapping stationary (and extension) rods are made of spun yellow brass. the flexible gooseneck arm is comprised of coiled brass metal with virtually unlimited flexibility. the on/off paddle switch and/or key socket has been rewired. original parabola-shaped rolled rim reflector with patented socket fitter. nicely aged surface patina.
