single 19th century antique american original cast "real bronze" residential door hardware in the form of a triangular-shaped doorknob rosette or escutcheon designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the solid bronze metal passage door backplate features elegantly designed floriated scrollwork throughout. the surface patina is nice and even throughout. the doorknob rosette was likely fabricated between 1874-1879.
