original c. 1870's american passage size ornamental cast iron interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britian, ct. the intricately designed antique doorknob features foliated scrollwork with central rosette. the banded rim is comprised of yellow brass. great overall condition, considering age. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
