all original early 1920's american industrial reinforced heavy gauge steel tubular steel garment or clothing rack possibly fabricated by the american fixture & showcase mfg., st. louis, mo. the refinished stationary single pole rack was salvaged from an old chicago department store. the pipes and distinctive bulbous fittings have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the unique pipe fittings add visual character to an otherwise simple and utilitarian garment rack. only one available in this configuration. measures 20 x 43 3/4 x 65 inches.
