original c. 1920-1930 american antique industrial single compartment sliding door filing cabinet stackable unit designed and fabricated by remington rand, library bureau division, elmira, new york. the cabinet is comprised of heavy gauge pressed and folded sheet steel with riveted joints. the original fanciful handle is tightly affixed to the cabinet door. the exterior cabinet has been thoroughly brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the sliding door retains the original placard holder for use with labels, etc. good overall condition. measures 13 1/2 x 27 x 12 inches
