unique late 1920's american vintage industrial repurposed mobile side table or stand fabricated by or for the burroughs adding machine co., philadelphia, pa. the factory office adding machine three-legged base is comprised of solid cast iron brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original swivel casters (possibly bassick) are intact and in working condition. the base or stand contains a central post supporting a specially designed platform where the machine rested. the newly added tabletop with rounded edges, is comprised of old growth recycled poplar wood salvaged from a barn teardown. measures 18 x 13 x 25 inches.
