original c. 1950's american industrial four-legged stationary single row locker basket shelving unit repurposed into a coffee table with a newly added solid maple wood top. the low-lying table with angled steel base and steel wire lockers was fabricated by the lyon metal products company, aurora, il. the four wire mesh baskets contain stamped steel front panels with perforated holes for added ventilation. the original riveted joint number plaques are intact. the frame has welded joint hasps for padlocking the baskets in place. the shelving unit has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the solid maple wood top has been planed, sanded and lightly stained. the unit measures at 41 inches x 14 inches x 19 1/2 inches.
