original early 20th century interior residential passage door hardware salvaged from a chicago two-flat residence undergoing renovations. the matching oval-shaped doorknobs and backplates are comprised of stamped yellow brass. each backplate or escutcheon contains four screw holes, a protruding thimble and a single keyhole. possibly fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. backplates measure approximately 7 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches. priced for the set.
