original and intact fully adjustable antique american industrial four-legged tubular steel stool likely designed and fabricated by the lyon metallic manufacturing company, aurora, ills. the brushed and/or bare metal stool contains a single circular-shaped heel ring or footrest welded tightly against each of the tubular legs. the height of the pressed and folded seat is raised or lowered by rotating clock or counterclockwise. the slightly contoured backrest is supported by two heavy gauge steel strap fastened to the underside of the seat. the bare metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. measures 43 1/2 inches high x 13 inches in diameter.
