original late 19th century intact four-legged drafting table stool designed and fabricated by the johnson chair co., chicago, il. the refinished c. 1890's american industrial draftsman stool contains a backless circular-shaped solid maple wood seat supported by a threaded steel spindle. the rotating seat is structurally sound and stable. the bentwood heel ring or footrest is tightly fastened to the outswept legs. the sanded and sealed adjustable height stool remains in great overall condition, considering age. measures 23 x 23 x 25 inches.
