refinished american antique industrial stationary finkl & sons foundry gantry crane operator's stool with circular-shaped seat and welded joint footrest. the swivel seat operator's stool was likely custom-built in one of the many machine shops located on the sprawling complex currently undergoing demolition. the rotating seat is supported by a single tubular steel upright with weighted base and/or flange. the all-welded joint stool has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. signage and controller units were salvaged from the same gantry crane cab. only one available. measures 13 x 13 x 31 5/8 inches.
