original vintage american world war ii-era factory assembly plant workbench with rock hard maple wood tabletop. the heavy gauge stamped and formed steel base contains flared feet with pre-drilled holes for anchoring against the floor (if need be). the pressed furniture steel stretcher and undershelf, which doubles as a footrest, are bolted firmly against the sturdy bases. the rock hard maple wood top has been thoroughly refinished and treated with amber shellac. the industrial table was fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. measures 54 x 36 x 34 inches.
