original c. 1920's vintage american industrial two tier stationary factory side table or workstation fabricated by the standard pressed steel co., jenkintown, pa. the unusually small workbench contains a weathered and worn pine wood board tabletop (with backsplash) bolted firmly against the cold-rolled "hallowell" steel bases. the single board stretcher doubles as a storage undershelf and footrest. the machinist's workbench has been thoroughly refinished (both steel and wood), and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. salvaged from a chicago area glove making factory. measures 47 x 16 x 32 3/4 inches.
