fully restored original american vintage industrial c. 1910 chicago oversized pool hall spectator chair or stool fabricated by the r.m.m. company, chicago, il. the "no. 85" stationary seat armchair features an elaborate riveted joint bent metal strapwork supporting solid hardwood armrests and slightly contoured backrest. the banded rim circular-shaped seat contains a refinished birch wood inset. the slightly flared, four-legged angled steel base contains multiple riveted joint stretchers for added support and stability. original bent and folded wrought steel footrest. the chair is structurally sound and stable. the birch wood and steel components have been thoroughly refinished and treated with a clear coat finish. seat height measures 26 1/2 inches.
