early 20th century custom-built vintage american industrial reinforced heavy gauge metal pipefitters portable toolbox or chest salvaged from a chicago boiler gauge factory. the diminutive tool chest is comprised out of folded and pressed galvanized steel with an excessive amount of riveted joints along the corners. the pyramidal top contains four opposed strap hinges riveted to double-sided fold out panels. the centrally located hasp is designed for use with a padlock to secure the interior contents. the tool box interior is an undivided single compartment. the exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 17 x 7 x 7 inches.
