very unique and elegantly designed american industrial freestanding modular wall unit featuring c. 1940's repurposed cold-rolled folded and pressed steel cabinets designed and fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the versatile unit features a simplistic, yet sturdily built varnished wood frame, supporting three equally-spaced "floating" metal cabinets equipped with two pull-out drawers. the original wrought brass handles and label or placard holders are original and intact. the cabinets have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. cabinets and framework can be interconnected and/or configured to accommodate custom specifications. 20.25 x 15.5 x 72"
