skillfully handcrafted vintage american industrial repurposed compartmentalized jeweler's cabinet complete with newly added solid mahogany wood four-legged custom-built stand or base with spacious undershelf and cross-bracing. the compact american c. 1930's vintage industrial heavy gauge brushed metal multi-drawer workbench jewelers or watchmakers cabinet was salvaged from a downtown chicago watch repair shop. the folded and pressed steel cabinet features six evenly-spaced pull-out drawers with spacious single interior compartments. the brushed steel cabinet was manufactured by or for the american perfit crystal corp., new york. each drawer originally contained large quantities of watch crystals (i.e., protective covers placed over the face of the watch). the original yellow brass knobs or pulls and label holders are intact. finished with a clear coat lacquer. the cabinet top is comprised of mahogany wood with identical surface treatment. l 24 x w 9 3/4 x h 36.
