c. 1920-25 antique american industrial handheld or portable "trouble light" designed and fabricated by the mcgill mfg. company, valprasio, ind. the fully functional electric lamp guard fixture consists of a finely turned maple hardwood handle attached to a reinforced solid steel cage or bulb enclosure containing a bent steel hook for hanging virtually anywhere where light is needed. the old industrial lamp was rewired with period appropriate braided white lamp cord. the brass shell paddle socket is original to the fixture. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. multiple handheld lamp guards available. the original copper-plated finish remains largely intact. great overall condition.
