original and intact c. 1940's american medical cold-rolled furniture steel hospital room supply cabinet designed and fabricated by the american metal furniture inc., indianapolis, ind. the lightweight cabinet contains a brushed metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original heavy gauge pressed and folded steel "sani" tabletop with white porcelain enameled finish remains in great overall condition, considering age. the storage cabinet contains a single pull-out drawer with beveled edges and streamlined style handle or pull. the bottom section contains two hinged doors with original combination bakelite and pressed steel handle. the concealed interior is divided by shelves. salvaged from a chicago area hospital. measures 24 x 20 x 33 inches.
