c. 1900's american industrial varnished oak wood adjustable height factory office draftsman stool designed and fabricated by the johnson chair co., chicago, il. the four-legged stationary stool retains the original revolving quartered oak wood backless seat with slightly sunken center. the intact bent wood heel ring or footrest is supported by brackets fastened tightly to each flared leg. extensive cross-bracing provides added support and stability. the solid steel threaded spindle rotates with ease. the cast iron perforated oversized faucet style handle contains embossed lettering. seat height adjusts from approximately 25 to 30 inches.
