original c. 1900's antique american ornamental wrought brass entrance door backplate possibly fabricated by russell & erwin or p. & f. corbin. the rectangular-shaped doorknob backplate contains two skeleton keyholes, four screw holes and original protruding wrought bronze thimble or collar. mostly uniform surface finish throughout. measures 10 x 2 3/4 inches.
