intact c. 1920's interior lobby flush mount elevator car call button backplate savaged from the non-extant dunham building designed by the architectural firm of d. h. burnham & co., chicago, il. the rectangular-shaped bronze metal plaque contains a twisted rope motif border. the centrally located spring-loaded pearl push button is original and intact. the exact fabricator is not know. the eight and one half story building was erected for the c.a. dunham building, makers of heating apparatus. the dunham was considered one of the finest neoclassical style buildings in its day. nicely aged surface patina with black enameled inlay along the edges. measures 7 3/4 x 3 inches.
