original american vintage industrial stationary brushed steel side table and/or supply cabinet salvaged from the indianaapolis "state lunatic asylum" (later known as central indiana state hospital for the insane). the folded and pressed cold-rolled steel cabinet contains a single pull-out drawer and cabinet door configuration. the yellow brass knob pull and latch (with keeper or catch) are original to the cabinet. the left side of the cabinet contains a bent solid steel rod towel bar. original lightly incised yellow brass identification tag riveted against the right corner. the original cast iron cabriole style legs remain structurally sound and secure. fabricated by the frank s. betz co., hammond, ind. measures 22 x 16 x 30 inches.
