well-maintained all original antique american industrial dark "normandy" bronze plated portable desk lamp designed and fabricated by the faries fg. co., decatur, ills. the weighted base desk lamp features double-jointed tubular brass arms designed to achieve desired angle. the fixture contains an eagle shell socket with on/off paddle. the patented rotating parabola steel reflector is original to the fixture. the weighted base is cast iron, with a nicely turned bronzed finish brass cover plate. the factory light has been rewired. salvaged from a boilerworks factory in chicago. measures approximately 25 inches in length. the diameter of the shade is approximately 6 3/4 inches. the rolled rim parabolic shade contains a distinctive solid glass diffuser designed to soften the brightness of the light source. great overall condition.
