rare and one-of-a-kind c. 1930's american art deco jazz age exterior patinated folded and pressed sheet copper exterior wall sconce or lantern salvaged from a chicago post office building demolished long ago. the multi-faceted skyscraper style illuminated wall mount fixture contains "stepped' or cascading top and bottom finials accentuated with zig-zag banding and cast brass floral rosettes. the amber colored textured glass insets are intact. the exterior fixture contains incandescent ceramic sockets mounted on each end. the bracket and oblong backplate are structurally sound. attributed to the newman mfg. co., cincinnati, oh. measures 12 x 9 x 30 inches.
