all original c. 1930's american movie theater lobby single electric light ceiling pendant featuring a "skyscraper style" blue opalescent molded glass shade. the art deco theater light retains the original spun yellow brass ceiling canopy, chain and shade fitter, with a mostly uniform dark bronze "wash" or plated finish. the "modernistic" fixture was almost always used in commercial applications (e.g., drugstores, department stores, etc). the multi-faceted, textured glass shade was fabricated by the phoenix glass co., pittsburgh, pa. measures 12 x 36 inches. salvaged from a theater located in indiana. two identical fixtures available.
