original early 1870's antique american ornamental cast bronze visually striking residential doorknob designed and patented by a. rankin around 1875. the highly detailed doorknob features a unique radial pattern consisting of individualized floral motifs. the centrally located encircled rosette contains deeply grooved leafage. two matching passage size doorknobs are available. nicely aged surface patina left untouched. exact hardware fabricator unknown. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
