two matching (four in total) original late 19th century antique american ornamental carved oak wood oversized corbels or brackets attributed to the architectural decorating company, chicago, il. the massive brackets remain in great overall condition with the original varnished finish virtually intact throughout. the solid quartered oak wood corbels feature neoclassical elements in the form of volutes and deep relief floral ornamentation. the set of corbels were originally mounted flush against the wall within a colonnade (i.e., room divider) system. date to 1895. priced for the pair. two sets available. measures 8 x 6 x 14 inches.
