complete set of early 20th century interior residential varnished oak wood colonnades or room divider likely designed and fabricated by or for the plastic relief mfg. company, chicago, il. the two bases or boxes feature three-sided recessed panels, intact plinth blocks or baseboard and fancy beaded trimwork. the slightly tapered lock stave joint oak wood columns are structurally sound and intact. the highly decorative ionic column capitals are comprised largely of a wood core with delicate composite or "plastic" ornament. the colonnade set was salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. measure 28 1/2 x 10 x 93 inches.
