group of four distinctive antique american victorian era pictorial transfer print glazed ceramic tiles salvaged from a south side chicago mansion built during the late 19th century. the tiles are apart of a landscape series often attributed to william wise. the tiles were fabricated by the minton tile works, stoke on trent, england. the tiles are in good condition with allover surface crazing evident. the mortar has been removed from the backside of each tile. priced for the lot. One tile measures 6"h x 6"w x .25"d.
