all original and hard to to find garcy hardware “catalog no. 30” published in march, 1931 for garden city plating & mfg. co., chicago, il. this catalog is bound with split pins and staples, and features embossed ornament and texture on the cover, which is partially detached and has a couple light tears in the bottom right corner. the quarter bound cloth is peeling from the tail of the spine and printed lettering is faded in that area. the publication features 141 pages of detailed lithographs accompanied by specifications of hardware and metal goods pertaining to store and bank fixtures, cabinets, refrigerators, wardrobes, furniture, desks, and more, with a detailed alphabetical index. the heavily illustrated catalog includes an insert at the back of garcy reflectors for showcase illumination. this “bulletin 31-6” with price list included, illustrates hardware and engineering service made to “furnish architects, merchants, and manufacturers with ‘tailor made’ lighting” for case displays. measures 8 ½ x 11 inches.
