turn of the century original and intact antque american leatherbound general electric street light design booklet featuring numerous pages of street lamp or light designs followed by a corresponding design number. the 3-clap booklet is in excellent condition with only little wear to both the interior and exterior. the plain black leather cover remains completely intact holding all 35 illustrated pages securely fastened in place. geneal electric was formed by the 1892 merger of edison general electric company of schenectady, new york, and thomson-houston electric company of lynn, massachusetts, with the help of drexel, morgan & co. both plants continue to operate under the general electric banner to this day. the company was incorporated in new york, with the schenectady plant used as headquarters for many years thereafter. measures 9 x 11 1/2 inches
