all original and seldom found diminutive wall-mount early 20th century antique american industrial factory lunch room "puritan" sanitary drinking water paper cup enclosed dispenser fabricated by the the b. jahn mfg. co., new britain, ct. the compact pressed and folded cup dispenser was designed and patented beginning in 1917 by berthold jahn and emil kahl ernest for the the b. jahn mfg. co., new britain, ct. the b. jahn mfg. co. is perhaps best known for their metal strip stapler, introduced in 1905. the wall unit retains the highly desirable oxidized copper plated finish over steel. the riveted brass plaque is prominently displayed on the front above the dispensing slot. the paper cups were restocked through the hinged top. measures 9 1/2 by 4 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches.
