original and intact privy dug late nineteenth century forest green glass ale bottle manufactured for unknown bottler. the slim, cylindrical body tapers steeply into a long neck and crude applied oval blobtop. the collar exhibits a deep indent with some metal residue on one side, likely trace of a wire bail or closure. at the base is a deep kickup with little to no residue from iron pontil. the glass is clear and free of haze, and exhibits no embossing. the bottle has appealing crudity, typical of its age and date of manufacture, including allover bubbles, whittling and asymmetry.
