all original and hard to find american industrial repurposed table lamp featuring an appleton "walk light" consisting of three closely-spaced and staggered green porcelain enameled diffusers surrounding a fully enclosed impact resistant clear glass bulb guard. the standard ceramic socket for use with an incandescent light bulb has been rewired. the socket housing is comprised of reinforced aluminum with threaded ends for pipe and glass "jar." the weather-resistant or "explosion proof" fixture was designed and fabricated by the appleton electric co., chicago, il. each pressed and formed cold-rolled steel shades contain a reflective white underside. the fixture is fastened to a single galvanized steel pipe with killark base. makes for an ideal table lamp or pedant light. measures 31 x 8 inches.
