original c. 1930's american antique industrial mobile chicago tribune printing press die cart fabricated by or for the beard newsprint warehouse company, detroit, mich. the heavily reinforced printing press die cart base is comprised of heavy gauge all-welded joint tubular steel with x-shaped stretchers mounted against each upright or leg. the oversized hardened black rubber bassick swivel casters or wheels contains pressed and folded steel forks. the solid steel deck is in great shape considering age and the amount of wear and tear over the years. the supply cart has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. likely used to shuttle around dural aluminum stereotype chases. 30 inches x 22 inches x 39 inches.
