matching set of finely crafted american 19th century victorian era lightly varnished white oak wood interior residential room divider colonnades designed and fabricated by the decorators' supply co., chicago, il. the lock stave joint columns are deeply grooved or fluted and tapered. the ornamental ionic column capitals with flowing volutes and anthemions are comprised largely of a hardened composite affixed to a wooden core. the pair of columns were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1896. measure 65 inches tall. priced for the pair.
