remarkable designed all original and completely intact solid oak wood salvaged chicago full fireplace mantel designed and/or fabricated by or for the interior woodworking company, chicago, ills. the incredibly solid and well-built oak wood mantel retains the original beveled edge mirror surrround by fanciful trimwork ro molding. the mantel contains two sets of columns with the upper ones being fluted with ionic style capitals. the salvaged residential chicago mantel dates to the late 19th century.
