entirely original and largely intact historically important late 1920's american exterior ornamental wrought iron chicago mansion entrance bracketed light fixture possibly custom-built by or for the the midwest metal art company, cincinnati, ohio. the oversized exterior wall-mount fixture features a unique pyramidal-shaped multifaceted lantern housing a single socket for use with a standard incandescent light bulb.the fanciful scrolled bracket arm is attached to a five-pointed wrought iron star-shaped mounting plate. the lantern contains multiple panes of glass on each side in two different sizes. the exterior chicago mansion bracket fixture is simple yet elegant in design. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 10 x 28 1/4 x 23 1/4 inches.
