original and completely intact c. 1930's american depression era cold-rolled furniture sheet steel simmons "low boy" dresser fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wisc. the stationary dresser was likely used in a hospital and hotel setting. the arch top swivel mirror with intact mirrored glass and stamped steel frame is original and in great overall condition. the multiple pull-out drawers retains the original round knobs or pulls. the turned and tapered legs are structurally sound and stable. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. solidly-built furniture piece through and through. "low boy" measures 39.5 x 19 x 34 inches. mirror measures 24 x 28.5 inches.
