all original early 1930's american industrial four-legged stationary side table or nightstand designed and fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wi. the diminutive table is comprised of folded and pressed "sheet steel" with a mostly uniform brushed metal finish, treated with a clear coat lacquer. the side table contains a single sliding drawer and undershelf reinforced by brazed and/or welded corner joints. the finely turned and tapered tubular steel legs are both rigid and stable. measures 15 x15 x 30 inches.
