late 1890's antique american "ceylon" pattern pocket door mortise lock designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the mortise lock contains an ornamental stamped steel face plate with original cast brass pull or handle and push button. the lock box or case is made of cast iron with original baked black enameled finish. measures approximately 7/8 x 7 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches.
