completely refinished and repurposed antique american industrial oversized multi-tier storage rack or display shelf fabricated in the early 1920's by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the massive factory storage rack was salvaged from a tool & die machine shop. the shelves were filled with various steel hobs and gears. the all-welded angled steel frame has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. each spacious shelf contains newly added old growth pine wood planks fit tightly together. the edges of each board are slightly rounded and darkly stained. the freestanding metal rack is capable of holding a considerable amount of weight. measures 48 x 20 x 51 inches.
