original worn and weathered american civil war-era exterior rear entrance door salvaged from a pre-chicago fire italianate row house. the desirable double arch top "light" panel door retains the original "wavy" clear glass. the built-up or raised arched molding flanking the muntin remains completely intact. the stiles remain structurally sound. the original black enameled cast iron surface mount lock or rim lock with mineral knob remains intact. traces of older paint finish remain. possibly fabricated by or for the cronkhite & herren co., chicago, il. measures 76 3/4 x 29 1/4 inches.
