impressive looking vintage american machine age "postal telegraph" wall clock designed and fabricated by the hammond clock co. (renamed the hammond instrument company in 1928), located in chicago, il. the art deco style wall-mount clock contain a "stepped" profile bezel comprised of heavy gauge steel with red enameled finish. the clear glass cover is original and intact. the sheet steel clock face contains a partially intact enameled finish (originally consisting of an off-white background with bold black numerals). the original hour, second and sweeping crescent moon-shaped second hand are intact. measures 20 inches in diameter.
