all original and completely intact vintage american industrial mississippi river unrestored barge port side navigation single electric light fixture designed and fabricated by the crouse-hinds company, syracuse, ny. the distinctive industrial fixture is comprised largely of steel pipe fittings with angled steel bracket that was originally welded to the barge in an upright position. the lantern or socket housing is comprised of solid steel with a detachable top secured with wing nuts. a bronze metal reflector conceals half of the original and intact ruby red ribbed glass cylindrical-shaped shade. the fixture is equipped with a single socket. the barge navigation lamp retains the original green paint finish. sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a virtually identical navigation lamp with a brushed metal finish is available. priced individually. measures approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a height of 34 inches.
