set of original "matching" antique american victorian era majolica glazed interior residential fireplace tiles designed and fabricated by the trent tile company, trenton, nj. the two salvaged chicago figural tiles are deeply embossed with costumed male and female portraits. the richly colored olive-colored glazed tiles were salvaged from a chicago two-flat built around 1897. brick and/or mortar have been carefully removed from the backs of the tiles. priced for the pair. each tile measures 6" h x 6"w x .75"d.
