one of two matching late 19th century antique american "chicago style" oversized cast iron newel post and matching railing comprised of wrought iron. the largely intact chicago decorative ironwork was salvaged from the stoop of a 19th century greystone 3-flat undergoing demolition. the cast iron newel post with ball finial is in great overall condition. a total of two matching oversized cast iron newel posts, two smaller newels and various lengths of railing are available. this listing is for a single newel and rail.
